 Bio

I have taught at St. Mary Catholic School for eight years. During that time, I spent three years teaching 4th and 5th grade Math, Science, and Religion, and this will be my  sixth year teaching 2nd grade. I feel truly blessed to teach at St. Mary’s and to give back to the community that nurtured me throughout my childhood.
In 2010, I married my husband, Justin Snider. We live in Valley View with our three boys: Hayes (3rd Grade), Wyatt (2nd Grade), and Waylon (Prek3). My boys are students at St. Mary School.

     This year, your child will deepen their faith as we prepare for two important sacraments: First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion. We’ll explore the Ten Commandments, the Last Supper, the Sacraments, and much more. It’s always exciting for the children to learn more about their Catholic faith!
    In Math, your child will master a variety of concepts, including multi-digit addition and subtraction with regrouping, an introduction to multiplication and division, and some basic geometry.
    Students will work diligently to learn all 1,000 Fry Sight Words and to reach or surpass their second-grade reading level. We’ll focus on improving comprehension, comparing and contrasting texts, understanding the author's purpose, and more.
    You can expect to see significant growth in your child this year, along with increased independence in their studies. Second grade is a year full of learning and development!
